Confined Space Awareness Training
Objective
The objective of this training is to enhance the awareness, knowledge, and skills of participants regarding confined space entry, as per the Industry Code of Practice for Safe Working in a Confined Space (ICOP CSE 2010) by DOSH Malaysia, OSHA 2022 Act, and other relevant regulations. This training aims to ensure that participants understand the hazards associated with confined spaces and the necessary precautions to safely perform tasks within these environments.
Learning outcome
Upon successful completion of the training, participants will be able to:
- Understand the definition and characteristics of confined spaces.
- Recognize the potential hazards associated with confined spaces.
- Comprehend the regulatory requirements and standards related to confined space entry (ICOP CSE 2010 & OSHA 2022).
- Identify the roles and responsibilities of individuals involved in confined space work.
- Implement appropriate risk assessment and control measures.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment effectively.
- Develop and follow safe work procedures for confined space entry.
- Respond to emergencies and understand rescue procedures in confined spaces.
