Boundary Noise Monitoring (BNM)

In compliance to the premises license of crude palm oil, the condition of approval requires every employer to ensure the Maximum Permissible Sound Level (LAeq) during both daytime and night-time shall not exceed 65 dB(A) & 55 dB(A) respectively measured continuously for the period of 24 hours at the premise’s boundaries. Day time sampling will commence at 7:00am and ended at 10:00pm while night-time sampling will commence thereafter at 10:00pm until 7:00am on the next day. Observation on the premise’s boundary and identification of the main contributing noise generator will be conducted during the monitoring period.
